Locations
Narrow Orchard
A small village in the east, Narrow Orchard is home to the famous King Sweetie apples, which are grown in the local orchards just outside the township. Narrow Orchard is said to be one of the oldest townships in modern-day Patreayl, dating back to The Age of Monarchs.
It is looked after by the noble house of Rŭneval.
Wenderwood
Hidden deep within Wenderwood Forest lies the small village of Wenderwood. Located in one of the most dangerous parts of the Patreayl Midlands, Wenderwood is surrounded on all sides by danger. The people of Wenderwood are constantly fending off the attacks of the Wolf Shaman in the south-east.
Due to this constant threat, a real need for steady nerves has given rise to Wenderwood's most famed export - Wenderwood Whiskey. Distilled in the neighboring township of The Twins the Whiskey is then shipped to Wenderwood where it is aged in barrels made from local trees and imparted with a complex flavor profile as well as quite the kick.
Wenderwood is looked after by the noble house of Wender, which is struggling as of late. Lord Rudolf Wender is its sole survivor and he has a dangerous habit of leading the local Wolf Hunters into battle.
Wenderwood is a small town near the ever-burning forest which is densely populated with Wyverns.
The Twins
The Twins is a small lakeside village named after its twin lakes - Lake Desmona and Lake Eratreyu. The township keeps mostly to itself and has unfortunately garnered a reputation of feeling itself a tad "superior" to the rest of the country.
The village is looked after by the noble house of Hulthine (family) whom, unlike other noble houses, does not actually reside in the village they are assigned to watch over.
Guild City
The Capital City of Patreayl. Guild City is named so because of the many guilds that have set up shop within its confines. The city sits on the bay of Loch Laroo, near University Island. It is from this city and from the university where for hundreds of years the most important decisions for the country were made.
The city now pales in comparison to what it once was due to the insidious control of The Order. Guild City was once a vibrant, peaceful place, vastly populated and powerful. Although there are many still believing in that image of the city, the place is also plagued with sickness, with pickpockets and murderers, and political rebel groups.
In an attempt to fix the problems of sinfulness, the High Pope in Elephantine has instated Bishop Roma, a cruel and pious man, known for being able to convert the masses at any cost.
Midlands Encampment
Keeping a watchful eye on the Guild City, the pseudo-religious military fort of General Clavius lies, to the South of Guild City. General Clavius, a fascist leader for The Order has his camp set up to rule over the capital of Patreayl and make certain any uprisings are quickly put down.
Maat's Keep
Found to the East of Guild City, this plateau rises above the surrounding area. Pilgrims have been making the trek to the ruins that sit atop for centuries, trying to get as close to their goddess Ma'at as possible
